The action is steel strings and harp reeds with an old Silvertone
amp...its that hot beat of a lopsided funky deep groove that I love.
And the musicians/singers who helped me capture these tracks
.... world class players, people and friends!
In my beginning, Otis, Louie and Howlin' Wolf rocked my
cradle.... while Hank, Jimi, Fats and Bird jumped through my ears and
still run wild riffs through my veins.
And the hymns...those spirituals... Man, they speak the truth to the
core...always trying to save their drunk cousins the Blues
I'll tote 'em
to the turnaround and Sonny Boy will take 'em to the bridge... dump 'em
into the Muddy Waters of my soul.... let em churn in the subconcious
till I can
sing and play em my own way.
So my big hope is to play this musical gumbo for you, have it mean
something real and touch you with the gift that was given me.
